And you're gunna what?!

Obama, in an attempt to pressure Congress into action, delivered a speech aimed at scaring the American People. He outlined some of the more drastic impacts the sequester would have on the country if the automatic spending cuts go into affect.

Why Do You Believe

About Me

If I ran into myself from four years ago I would punch me in the stomach and tell me to open my effing mind a little! I was a selfish, closed minded little prick with a holier than thou attitude. Thinking about some of the things I did and said stirs up feelings of guilt, anger, and even embarrassment. Then again, who doesn’t have regrets like that... right?

The views and beliefs we live by are influenced by the people around us, the culture we live in, the experiences we have had in our life, and in some cases even our own selfishness. Some or all of these factors shape how you interact with others, the decisions you make day to day, and how you vote at the polls.

Sequestration is like Master... um ya!

I'm not sure many of us could get away with going to work and not doing our job. It is one thing if your boss has not made his or her expectations known; however, it is an entirely other thing if you know what you are supposed to be doing and you fail to perform. If I were to fail in my job duties my boss would let me go so he could replace me with someone who could get the job done. Maybe not right away, but after repeated failures you better bet my butt is out of there.

CNN posted an article on their website today in which Sen. John Barrasso stated, "the country should be prepared for the sequester and its massive spending cuts to kick in next month, despite Democrats' proposal last week to avert it."

Barack Obama's Middle Class

Gun Control

I read an article today that talked about the new NRA offensive against the attempted ban on large capacity magazines and the "across the board" implementation of background checks. The author of the article was not very objective in their discussion of the issue, a mistake I will probably make here.

I think by now we expect a certain amount of dramatization from both sides on hot issues such as gun control. Lets face it, nobody will listen to an ad that says "well if they ban these magazines you will have to reload more often at the range and that makes it not as much fun". So let's try to put aside the rhetoric from both sides of the isle and look at the facts.
